A Step Toward Success: Collaboration between TIBD and King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB)

(TIBD) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB) with the objective of elevating educational and research standards within Thailand’s industrial sector.

The signing ceremony was held at King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok, with representatives from both organizations in attendance. Representing TIBD were Mr. Natchaphon Somrak, Managing Director and Co-Founder of TIBD, and Mr. Wuttipong Panitsettakorn, Director and Co-Founder of TIBD. Representing KMUTNB were Associate Professor Dr. Pianpool Kamoljitprapa, Dean of the Faculty of Science; Assistant Professor Dr. Chatchawal Singhaphol, Associate Dean for Research Development and Academic Services; and Associate Professor Dr. Smitthichai Siyangnok, Head of the Department of Industrial Chemistry.

To strengthen shared knowledge and collaborative research development. This exchange allows both organizations to stay informed of advancements in research and development and to apply new insights to product and process improvement. -
Establishment of Collaborative Networks
Among experts, researchers, and industry partners to drive effective and sustainable development. These networks will enhance operational efficiency and serve as a valuable foundation for future collaborative projects.
Visit to the SICC Center
On this occasion, TIBD representatives also visited the Scientific Instruments and High-Performance Computing Center (SICC), a central academic service facility specializing in advanced scientific instrumentation and high-performance computing. The executive team from the Faculty of Applied Science introduced various instruments and services that are fully equipped to support both public and private sector needs with high efficiency.
The SICC Center was established to promote the efficient shared use of scientific equipment, reduce redundancy in the procurement of advanced scientific instruments, and support high-quality research activities. The center officially commenced operations on 14 May 2019 in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Faculty of Applied Science.
In addition, the SICC Center received ISO/IEC 17025:2017 laboratory accreditation in 2021, following external assessment by an independent evaluation committee and official certification by the Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI), Ministry of Industry.
